I took a home Glucose blood test prior to breakfast (home diabetes test) Results was in the 60’s mg/dl (clearly below 75 and above 50) –

** Is that good, or is that something I need to watch? **

Because I am self employed & not w/a group insurance I don’t want any test results on my medical record.
I don’t take any type of meds. I have never had any type of diagnostic. This was a self home test where you match the colors. This was before breakfast and results was clearly somewhere mid point between 75mg/dl and 50mg/dl (in the 60’s). So I wondered if a fasting test, wtih that score was good or what. I do have a very sweet tooth. I am trying to save money by not going to the doctor & I don’t want any negitive results on my perm medical record.
This was a test to see if I could have Diabetes. My reading of these results would be no I do not. My next test will be a cholestrial test.

I drank some liquid and alcohol about 9p and then i had the test at 7am. prior to 7am, i had some heavy exercise at my gym. So then I find out my test results are that i am 111. should i get retested because of the exercise and drinking something around 9p (or was that fine?) i’m not sure how the fasting part works.

Urine test results

When I was in the hospital about a year ago my blood sugar level was 121. This was after not eating for several hours but I had drank several cups of coffee with sugar and creamer. They told me my test results showed that I am not diabetic. Still I am worried that I am although I have no signs of it. I am 58yrs old and over weight.

Basically I want to understand what the test results mean. What numbers are good and whats bad.

Can a small piece of gum (About half of a stick) alter your blood sugar test results? I was unaware that i was supposed to be fasting for the test (yeah yeah i know ) and i chewed a small piece of gum to fight any chance of bad breath, (I was going for a physical). My test results came back with "105" as my level.

I’m 18 years old, should i be worried? Should i maybe go back and take the test over again?

I was told to fast 8 hours before taking some lab tests – blood & urine. I had a cup of green tea, no sugar or milk, before the test. Wondering if that will skew test results.

I would like to know if eating sugar a night before the fasting blood sugar test affect the results next morning. For eg if I eat some good deserts on the night before my fasting blood sugar test the next day, will it affect the results drastically or mildly or none at all ?
I am sure it affects the PP test results but does it affect the fasting tests as well ?
