I had waaaaaaay to many sweets, chocolates, pies, cookies, donuts, brownies yesterday from Halloween. To the point I felt like throwing up and I felt dizzy. This morning I had oatmeal and bread, and I still feel anxiety, dizzy, confused. I was diagnosed with HYPERglycemia a year ago. How do I get my blood sugar back to normal? THis is awful.
i tested my daughter this morning before breakfast. her results said 80, she trys to eat lots of sweets. drinks a lot, has severe dry skin patches at times. i just thought that this could be a sign of diabetes, any advice???
228 Blood Glucose Level?
30/06/10
About 2 hours post eating sweets, non insulin dependent DM.
Is this too high? I know the normal is 70-110, but when does the blood glucose level become dangerous?
My sugar and blood pressure go down a lot, mostly on the first day of my period. It’s to the point where if I don’t get some sweets in me after a while I start to feel faint.
We had a bake sale for work today and all the leftovers are here and are VERY tempting! I’m supposed to get tested for gestational diabetes in the morning. Will eating sweets the night before affect the results of my test?
Sorry I should have added this. I’m at no known risk of diabetes. It’s just a thing they check for. I just hardly eat sweets and seeing them while being pregnant is making me want them! I just didn’t want to make the test inaccurate since I hardly eat sweets.
My test came back negative. That night I had a piece of white cake with whipped white frosting, a brownie topped with powdered sugar, chocolate chip ice cream, and 2 glasses of orange juice and 2 glasses of water. What a pig ha ha!
Ok, I don’t have diabetes, but I do like the sweets, so I’m a little worried about type II later in life. Cutting back on those. However, I think I remember hearing that type II is caused by your pancreas being unable to produce enough insulin. So, could you treat type II diabetes by doing a pancreatic transplant?
I am not overweight. I’m within the acceptable normal range for my height and age. I’m just worried about getting diabetes from all the sugar I eat. Isn’t that bad?
I’m not diabetic nor hypoglycemic. I’m prescribed to take some tablets that makes my sugar level low — a side effect.
I’m not very big with sweets. I can have them once in a while but cant make me have them almost all the time.
Any suggestions would be muchly appreciated.
I just cant take chocolates and juice all the time.
Thank you so kindly.

I’m having the routine 1 hour test this afternoon. She said don’t eat an hour before the test, and don’t eat any sweets all day. I’m kind of worried about that whole wheat bagel I had for breakfast because I know starches break down into sugar. Is this going to affect my test negatively? I also had peanut butter on celery for a snack. What should I have for lunch?
I am pre diabetic because usually my fasting blood sugar ranges from 90-115.
I am thin and tall.21 yrs old, female. My mom has diabetes, so my chances of getting diabetes is high.
If I keep doing exercises and not eat heaps of sweets, will I be able to have a normal blood sugar level without being pre diabetic again?
Is there a risk for a pre diabetic person to develop diabetes when pregnant?
