how would a dehydration affect the out come of a blood sugar test
I know high blood sugar can make you dehydration but what if you are dehydrated going into the test

I have a high blood sugar for 400 ti 550. When do I need to go to the hospital?

I went to the doctors today after I noticed I was starting to drink and pee a lot, and I felt a bit tired after eating, especially in mid-afternoon. The doctor gave me a blood sugar test, and said I was fairly high, and is getting me to do more tests over the next few days. I am a bit worried about this, however about an hour before the test I ate a banana and a muesli bar. Two hours prior to this, I exercised for 45 minutes. Can these affect the results of a blood sugar test? Or is high blood sugar levels after consumption of these foods just typical diabetes? Please answer, I am 15 and need peace of mind before exams tomorrow.

so now i just ate a couple slices of pizza with yogurt. so i will see what it is after that but should i wait an hour or 2? also i had a fasting glucose test that was 111 but it’s odd that my blood sugar level after work and not eating for several hours was 77…? why is it low now…? i have changed my diet the past 2 wks and have cut sugar and alot of carbs but i’m just wondering why the fluctuation…
fyi-i had the fasting blood test 2 wks ago and i know it’s the 3 month accumulation but i exercised before the test and also was taking an herb that causes a low/high blood sugar so i stopped taking that herb too.
no no no—i think you misunderstood…when i got tested for the fasting glucose test – i was taking that herb that tends to raise or lower blood sugar but it’s only what i read so ask your doctor before doing anything. it is fo-ti. i’m just wondering since my blood sugar is normal NOW if that was the cause of the elevated fasting blood sugar (111).
FYI i STOPPED taking fo-ti after the fasting test when i heard it could mess up my blood sugar levels…

My doctor just called and said i had high blood sugar and i have to come in for more test…should i be concerned about this? What can i do to lower my blood sugar? what can i do to bring my Iron level up?

I was just doing some reading about the glycemic index. The high glycemic foods cause a sudden spike and fall of the consumer’s blood sugar level which makes them feel hungry shortly after.

Now, since diabetics can’t produce or don’t produce enough insulin…. Meaning that they have high blood sugar if they don’t take their medicine. So, putting 2 and 2 together, and untreated diabetic would never feel hungry, correct?

Which one will make my blood sugar levels high faster?
I’m not a diabetic i just need my blood test to say that i have high blood sugar. Please don’t lecture me, i have my reasons.

Today my wife went for her 28 week screening, she had blood sugar of 175. They want her to do a second longer test. Has anybody here had gestational diabetes? Or high blood sugar that was later proven to not to be gestational diabetes? Please anyone who has knowledge help me to calm my wife! Thanks.

As a type 2 diabetic who is not on insulin I watch my diet closely but sometimes that doesn’t seem to be enough, just wondering if anyone out there has some golden answer for lowering high blood sugar.

My uncle he is 48 years old and he just got his blood sugar test back. It said his blood sugar was 1000 and the doctor said that that was very high. What is the normal blood sugar level for him?? What is the normal range if he is 5ft 10in, 220 lbs.? Is this life threating? What are causes of high blood sugar other than consuming alcohol that could cause such a high reading?
his measruement IS correct. he has been to about 3 doctors to get his blood sugars checked within 2 weeks and they all read 990, 1000, and 1000. he is not in the hospital yet but he is feeling very ill for about a year, give or take.
