I have a client that I take care of. Every morning when I first come in I check her blood sugar. It’s always very high… about 300 or more. All she drinks is two cups of coffee and eats a banana. Could the banana be bringing her sugar way up or could it be something else? She takes one insulin shot in the mornings after I get there.

I’m asking this for both myself and my wife actually. We’re both Type 2, although mine is more controlled, with readings between 90-125 on average. We’ve both recently started individual exercise programs, and she’s frustrated with her blood sugar. I wasn’t with mine until this morning. I woke up, went to the gym right away, worked out for 90 minutes, had plenty of water, and my blood sugar read 126. (fasting).

Can anyone point to any information on the web about this? By the way, my morning blood sugars have been pretty decent for the last week, hovering between 100-120, so, this higher reading was surprising, especially after a decent workout. I’m trying to get information that’s informative for my wife as well. So links specific to this topic would be great. Thanks!
Edited to add: currently, our Type 2 diabetes is controlled by diet and exercise alone. As of today, neither one of us is on metformin (the medication we’ve been prescribed in the past).

My vet told me that pomeranians have problems with blood sugar and to put honey on the roof of his mouth to keep his blood sugar up so… i was wondering would SueBee clover honey be ok to give him, is it safe?

I am curious to know what symptoms diabetics feel at each elevation tier of blood sugar. Is there a chart or a website where I can gain information on it? I do not have any symptoms that change as my blood sugar goes up. I feel the same way having a blood sugar of 90 or 300, and when I check it I am always curious to see the number because I can not guess it from how I feel. The only difference is if it drops below 90, then I can feel the shakiness and weakness, etc.

a few months ago i asked if 160 was a normal blood pressure level… but i mean blood sugar… REMEMBER THIS IS AFTER EATING PIZZA, WINGS, AND A CHOCOLATE ICE POP! I ALSO HAD A CAN OF COKE. (idk if that makes a difference)
is weight and age a factor when deciding if this is normal or not?

What range is normal? whats high? they are telling me I have gestational diabetes and everytime take my blood sugar it’s 96, 89, 84, 114…these all seem normal to me, so what is considered high?

These are the CVS, Kroger brand and they have 4 carbs each. How many points will they raise your blood sugar? And how long does it take to kick in? Oh and lastly, how long will it keep it high up there?

I am an athletic, non-diabetic 17 year old. My grandma is diabetic and she asked me if I wanted too check my blood sugar too. So she pricked my finger and put it in the meter and it said 69 mg/dL. Is that good or bad?

I have type 2 diabetes and today when I checked by blood sugar it was 135. I went for a brisk walk for about 15 min. and when I re checked my blood sugar it went down to 87

I’ve been worried about my blood sugar since i have a history of diabetes in my family,im over weight and im trying to loose the weight at this point in my life.Im hoping someone could let me know if this is considered high,my blood sugar has been between 103 and 110 in the am the last few days with no symptoms, should i worry? At the moment i have no insurance to see a doctor.
