Was it normal for you, or too high (or low)? Why do you think you got that particular result? Also, are you Type 1 or Type 2?
Mine was 99, but I’ve had a successful pancreas transplant. I don’t have to check it. Pre-transplant, if it was 99, I would have to be cautious, because it would usually be on the way down. I probably would have eaten a snack.
Re how my transplant went – I had kidney failure & went on dialysis, so that was the point where I was evaluated & put on the list for a kidney and pancreas.
My results were outstanding; I had to have only one injection of insulin post transplant (because they gave me a huge amount of prednisone), and that was it. They said results like mine are why they do transplants. It’s still a big deal, and there’s not a day that goes by that I’m not thankful for it.
For a diabetic patient – how should one analyse his blood sugar report if he gets one that is above 450 done in the evening & another one that is around 225 , done the next morning.
how likely is it that i have insulin resistance, if my random blood glucose levels are normal?

i have to wait a few weeks for an ovarian scan to rule out PCOS as the cause of my irregular, infrequent menstrual cycle, & i heard insulin resistance can cause this. i have had many blood tests done before, one a few weeks back, and my glucose levels are always normal. is it likely i could have insulin resistance despite this? i am BMI of 20.5.
I am a 30 year old male and the past 2 years i have noticed that i have symptoms associated with hypoglycemia. this week on 2 separate occasions, my sugar was 50, and 59 when i noticed the symptoms occurring. I had not eaten in 7-8 hours and had 3 cups of coffee with 2 sugars & 2 creams on both occasions.
A complete cure of stage 1 & 2 diabetes without any sid effect ? As a number of research being made in the world in different fields….. have any research about this disease whic I say a good achievement( except insuline)?
I took a home Glucose blood test prior to breakfast (home diabetes test) Results was in the 60’s mg/dl (clearly below 75 and above 50) –
** Is that good, or is that something I need to watch? **
Because I am self employed & not w/a group insurance I don’t want any test results on my medical record.
I don’t take any type of meds. I have never had any type of diagnostic. This was a self home test where you match the colors. This was before breakfast and results was clearly somewhere mid point between 75mg/dl and 50mg/dl (in the 60’s). So I wondered if a fasting test, wtih that score was good or what. I do have a very sweet tooth. I am trying to save money by not going to the doctor & I don’t want any negitive results on my perm medical record.
This was a test to see if I could have Diabetes. My reading of these results would be no I do not. My next test will be a cholestrial test.
