I did a test at school for blood glucose level. Here are the results:
FIRST: 3 hours after eating: 148 mg/dl
SECOND: 2 hours after eating: 142 mg/dl
If it’s okay, I’d want to be more specific with the activities that could have somehow affected the tests. Minutes prior to the FIRST test, I drunk a small gulp of energy drink. Minutes prior to the SECOND test, there was micturition.
(Sorry for the inaccuracies I caused for the tests. I wasn’t thinking whether it would affect the trial or not.)
What can you say about the results? Am I already diabetic or in risk of diabetes? What dietary advices can you give me to prevent diabetes? Or if I already am diabetic, what should I eat and not eat? ![]()

You are diabetic. To confirm, have your fasting sugar level taken by a doctor.

you appear to have type one diabetes. You should go to your doctors office to get a more accurate diagnosis and so, they can give you any dietary advice.

how few minutes was the energy drink?? less than 10? or more like 15? "micturition"???? not sure what that is.
Do the testing again or get an appointment with your doctor.
Energy drinks are loaded with sugar. This is what makes them "energy"!!! it is fast acting.
The numbers without the drinks mentioned say you need to be seeing your doctor!! But with the drinks, maybe not.
It wouldn’t hurt to get an appointment anyway just to get HbA1c testing done. That shows what your glucose has averaged over the past 90 days. It cannot be messed up by taking a sugar drink just before. Yes, the immediate blood glucose number will be high, but you want the A1c to be under 5.5%

There is no diagnosis, at least not until you’ve had your blood tested after fasting by a professional lab.
The tests you’ve taken are not diagnostic tests for determining whether or not someone has diabetes.

Your levels are high. Call your doctor and for a full set of blood tests and if you need treatment, the sooner you get started the better. You may be able to get control using diet and exercise, but if you need meds, start early.

Blood glucose Fasting blood glucose:
70–99 milligrams per deciliter or less than 5.5 mmol/L
2 hours after eating (postprandial):
70–145 mg/dL (less than 7.9 mmol/L)
Random (casual):
70–125 mg/dL (less than 7.0 mmol/L)
The reading of 148 is slightly higher than it should be for 2 hours after eating but not by much.
Best bet is to check sugars BEFORE eating anything at all and at least 8 hours after last food or drink and then check again 2 hours after normal meals and compare the numbers to the chart above.
It also takes more than one test or one time testing like you did at school to be sure what is going on for sure.

Why oh why are so many people especially young people checking their own blood sugars then panicking and wanting advice?
IF in doubt SHOUT!!
Tell your mom and dad and then they will take you to the doctors. Blood Sugars alone are no real diagnostic tool they are better for diabetics to monitor their condition.
The best test is to check weight loss, urinalysis (sugat content of urine), frequency of micturition (weeing), and amount drunk through day . . . NO not alcohol water or other drinks.
These are all helps to diagnose.
The finest way is by fasting blood sugars whcih the doctor will do.
He will tell you to stop eating and drinking after your last meal of the day (supper) around 8pm then he will draw venous blood from your arm the next morning at around 8am and test it via the local lab. Then the reading will determine whether you are or aren’t a diabetic.
BUT lets be straight whoever encouraged you to try the test either your school teacher or your friend didn’t do you any favours they should have told you what to do.
