  1. HI! If you are talking about your actual blood sugar level (not the HbA1c…that’s another test that people with diabetes have every few months) then 3.7 is fine. It’s a little low but nothing to worry about. Being pregnant, the concern is if your level was high (say, above 9) and remained high over a period of time. Some women get gestational diabetes (diabetes while pregnant) and higher blood sugars are the concern here. 3.7 probably just means you hadn’t eaten in a while. For people without diabetes your blood sugar usually sits between 4-8, so 3.7 is close. Don’t worry!! The good news here is you don’t seem to have gestational diabetes!

  3. 3.7 Hga1c is normal. If it was a test done with a meter we wouldnt be talking right now

  4. Is that your glucose level? The norm is 70-110. I think you would be dead with 3.7. Diabetes is high sugar. Maybe your number is just a different measurement that I do not know.

  5. Most Doctors recommend your HbA1c (or A1C) level to be from 6.0-7.0 IF you are a Diabetic. MINE was 4.8 once and MY Doctor was thrilled! Therefore, I wouldn’t think it is THAT low. You COULD be either Hypoglycemic or you are not eating enough.
If you were diabetic, your A1c would be HIGHER than normal.
Diabetes CAN be related to pregnancy (gestational diabetes), but I don’t know about Hypoglycemia.
Your Doctor should be able to give you some suggestions to bring your gulcose up if he considers this a problem.

  6. Is this a A1C test? If so, yes that is a little bit low as typical diabetics hover around 7 of a bit below.

  7. Folks, be careful….

In US, glucose meter is read in mg/dl, but in rest of the world, it is read in mmol/l

Readings in mg/dl is 18 times higher than mmol/l

That means 3.7 mmol/l is 66.6 mg/dl, which is low but not dangerously so.
