I am 30 weeks pregnant and borderline gestational diabetes. My question is, does anyone ever high a higher 2 hour reading than than 1hour reading after a meal? Today I took my blood at 1 hour and it was 167, then at the 2 hour mark it was 197! Every other time I have taken my levels with my old monitor in the past month, my sugar goes down at the 2 hr, mark. I tested the machine and it says it is OK, but I have had some crazy readings in the few days since I bought it. Could my body change this quickly? Do people with diabetes have blood sugar levels that rise after the first hour? Thanks.

I started testing my blood sugar at home but not really sure how many times a day should I test it or when should i do it. So far I’ve been testing in the morning when I wake up and at night before I go to bed. Should I test after I eat too? or is twice a day enough?

I’m so sorry for the trouble but I have one last questions of what some say to my "soon to be" diabetes. Tomorrow I am going to the doctor for testing, yes, for diabetes. I don’t know what to expect because they list many tests that I guess I will be doing. Examples like I think it is called a "C-peptide" test for my blood sugar. I am very scared, sorry but any help or encouragement is greatly appreciated!

I bought a bunch of blood glucose test strips (too many) but the store won’t let me return them, even though they are still sealed in the box and they are nowhere close to being expired. They were expensive. How can I get my money back?

My doctor recently put me on Avandia to lower my blood sugar, hoping to help me ovulate. Has anyone else heard of this, or been prescribed this?? Any advice would help.. Thanks!
The doctor said I have type 2 diabetes… Have you heard of this? or have you been put on Avandia? Thanks for replying!!
ntn… do you think that avandia will adventually help me with a good diet and exercise?

The recombinant potato used for this purpose degraded when cooked.

I have felt really bad and usually my levels are high is it bad when it reaches 67?

Early morning (5am ) I am dizzy and after checking have found that my blood sugar level is about 70 to 80 .If i eat white rice ,have a coffee within 10 minutes i no longer feel dizzy or unsteady on my feet

I was just diagnosed with hypoglycemia. Now, everything i read (and my dr) is telling me to have candy and juice, etc on hand in case my blood sugar drops.

How the heck do you know if your blood sugar dropped???
i know what happens, and all, when i pass out and such, i just dont know how much of that is the low blood sugar, or if its when the blood sugar spikes up or anything

Can I test my blood sugar levels at home? If so, where can I buy the necessary equipment? What is the normal range for blood sugar?
